The power of “Thank You”

I’m reading this book called Living Untethered beyond the human predicament by Michael a. Singer. It’s the next book after the Untethered soul, if you’ve read that, and it’s sharing some key nuggets on how, simply put, to live.

This part got me. I wanted to share this with you:

“This is a very important spiritual practice. You should be able to look back on your past and say, “Thank you.” It doesn’t matter what happened. Remember, every moment there are trillions and trillions of things going on in the universe, but you only get to experience one. How can you not appreciate the one you got to see?”

Reading this book reinforces the human I want to be, the one that I’ve been working on to release fear, shame and doubt and support my entire being as a powerful, resilient, un-perfectly perfect human being who embraces my past, my present and unattached to the future I am visualizing.

I am 100% doing a trillion things in every moment, between being an Executive, Business and Leadership coach, a mom, a wife, a Yoga Teacher and Yoga Student, on a Board of Directors for the ICF , supporting a new coffee/studio in Chilliwack, amongst other roles, jobs, titles, all of it.

I embrace it all, continue to learn how to be in this world with all of the things going on and the unlimited access to possibilities. For those reading this, know that we all have so much going on, whatever choices we’ve made in our pasts is to be honoured and we can focus on one thing right now in our present moment that will support the human being we want to be, or, that we are. The two words that can change any moment, any thoughts are, “Thank You”.
